Thank You, Lord                        Print

I thank You, Lord, for this new day
and another chance at this earthly life
to correct a few wrongs and make them right
I thank You, Lord, for Your guidance
and helping me down whatever paths I may take
I thank You, Lord, for Your love
that surrounds me in everything that I do
I thank You, Lord, for Your forgiveness
You sent Your son to die for me
I thank You so much for Jesus, dear Lord,
He was perfect, so I do not have to be
I thank You, Lord, for the days
I am able to be a good Christian and guide others to you
Forgive me, Lord, for the days that I slip
and I am just a sinner, begging for Your forgiveness
I thank You, Lord, for this new day
and another chance to speak and praise Your name
